I have been in CrossFit since July of 2011 and coaching since October or 2012. Waited a little later in life to really engage in the sport. I didn’t start until<br /> I was 30 and border line diabetic and obese. The sport and nutrition changed my life. At 40 years old I’m in better shape and can do more than I could at 25. Coaching others is important to me because I’m being able to help that person become a better athlete, accountable athlete, and healthier athlete. It’s awesome when athletes always fist bump you at the end of a workout and tell ya thanks for the push. Love that feeling!!
For me it was realizing I was 80lbs overweight when my little brother called me out for being huge and not being able to physically hike a trail when I was only 29. That was it for me. At that point I dove right into CrossFit and within a year had lost those 80lbs and changed my lifestyle completely around.
I love to help others. It’s never to late to start.
